Mixed media original incorporating a ceramic fan and a copper dragonfly heated in order to achieve the subtle coloration. Available as a five color serigraph, image size is 18-1/2" by 23" on Mirage acid free paper.

Will Herrera describes the art of painting as "research projects in spontaneous achievement" for his artistic expression. In this work the fan is symbolic of the unfolding of beauty, exploration, curiosity and growth. The dragonfly has long represented "continuation throughout time" for the artist.

This painting was commissioned in order to create a limited edition print to be used as a memorable gift for couples married on Maui at the Seaside Chapel, located on the grounds of Grand Wailea Resort. It is not available for sale but shows the range of work offered by the resort’s artist in residence, Will Herrera.
