The limited edition of 150 works signed and numbered by the artist are on rare Japon Inomachi handmade paper from Northern Japan.

The floating world is one of mystery, poetry and song... a world inviting all to linger and relax within the romantic side of living. Just as the moon's power moves the sea, the lyrical, floating quality of "Maui Moonsong" speaks of the romantically mysterious nature of the moon. The moon, illuminated by the sun, reflects the sun's light to earth. "Maui Moonsong" translates the paradise aspect of Maui into universal imagery. The original for this silk screen print was a ceramic sculpture relief incorporated into the original abstract expressionist painting by Will Herrera. Twenty individual screens were involved in the printing.

Based on the Ukiyoe woodblock prints of Japan, the same "floating world" concept is given a Maui twist by this contemporary artist in a serigraph. Will Herrera hand cut 28 different silk screens to create the imagery for this "hand pulled" print made in its entirety on the island of Maui.

Tune For The Tropics, Ukulele and Pele

Available as a limited edition of 90 signed fine art prints, measuring 18" by 24", which were taken from the original mixed media on canvas, with dimensions of 52" by 70".

In this highly expressive work, Will combines the beauty of the music and surrounding sea life with the raw fury of Madame Pele, goddess of the volcanoes from which the islands were born. The fan being a metaphor for the unfolding of beauty, this spontaneous painting unites reverence for the culture, power and beauty of the Hawaiian life forces. It now hangs in the permanent collection of the Ukulele Grill, located on Maui.
